What do you mean by printable DIY?
All of our stationery is supplied as computer files for you to print yourself at home or take to your local professional printer. We don't supply a finished printed product. This can save you quite a bit of money, there are no postage fees involved, you have more flexibility and most importantly you can have more fun doing it yourself.

How do I change the text?
Don't worry we do that for you! Once you place your order we will send an email requesting all the info we need to customise your stationery. We can also supply files so you can edit guests names if you wish.

Can I change the colour or font?
Alternative colour options are available for all of our designs, some are more flexible than others. Fonts can be changed at an additional cost of $10 per file. If you still don't see quite what you're looking for we can customise most of our designs to fit your needs, don't be shy, just ask. Or see our custom section for more details.

What paper should I use?
We recommend using a quality thick paper stock for wedding stationery, a very minimum of 200 gsm or 80 lbs. Around 250gsm is great, that's about 90lbs for our American friends. Check your printers manual first, 300gsm may be the maximum your home printer can take. Don't forget there are a huge range of paper finishes available from gloss to recycled, shimmer effects and textured feels. Check out our helpful links section for suggestions on where to buy.

What size is it?
Most of our designs can be customised to fit your size requirements, so just ask but as standard all of our stationery files fit onto a A4 sheet of paper (210 x 297 mm or 8.27 x 11.69 inches) for easy at home printing.

Our flexible DIY invitations are 290 x 145mm or 11.4 x 5.7, the sides fold over to create a gatefold design 145mm square or 5.7 inches. From the same file you could also choose to trim the design to other common sizes such as A5 (148 x 210 mm or 5.8 x 8.3 inches) or a simple elegant square 145mm (5.7 inches).

RSVPs come in a range of sizes to choose from to match your invitations:
square - 145mm (5.7 inches)
A6 - 105 x 148 mm (4.1 x 5.8 inches)

Thank you cards and save the dates are general postcard size A6 - 105 x 148 mm (4.1 x 5.8 inches).

What envelopes should I get?
Invitation and RSVPs, gatefold and square cut = 150mm square envelopes (6 inches)
Invitation and RSVPs A5 cut = C5 envelopes (6.4 x 9 inches)
RSVPs, save the dates and thank you cards A6 cut = C6 envelopes (4.5 x 6.4 inches)
If you already have your envelopes and would like us to tweak a design to fit - just ask, in most cases it is free of charge.

My home printer isn't very good, what can I do?
Don't worry we can supply files for you to take to your local professional printer or print shop at no extra charge. And we can help you with what questions to ask if you are unsure. Just let us know that's what you want to do when you order, as it can slightly change the way we supply the final file.

Can I get a printed sample?
As each person prints out their own stationery using different printers and different paper, we don't supply printed samples. You can however download a test invitation by clicking here.

Can I use a design for something different?
Absolutely, don't feel restricted. If you see a design you like they could be adapted to bridal shower invitations, anniversary parties or even birthdays. Some recent customers have used our designs as Christmas cards, 'be my bridesmaid' cards and gift tags.

I can't open the proof you sent.
We send files as PDFs which you will need to view in Adobe Reader, you can download it for free here if you don't already have it.

How long will it take?
It usually takes under a week. Custom jobs can take longer depending on the complexity of the design requested, but we will try to get you your first proof in a week. Please ensure you have your wedding date and venue booked before ordering.
